SOCRATIVE

Had to come home and try out this site that I had heard about, but had never tried. Laurie you do such a great job of explaining and showing us how to us so many amazing tools to enhance learning in our classes. I made a quick review for area and perimeter, can 't wait to try it with my math class tomorrow. Is there a way to share the quizzes you've made so that teams could take certain ones and divide up the job? I see the share button but does the person just use that code or do they make a copy?

  1. I have enjoyed using this website as well. It is great for quick questions and I have really liked using the "Exit Ticket" at the end of math class. I was wondering if you tried to do a quick question on there because when I did I wanted to type the question on the website and the answer choices but it wasn't letting me. I don't know if it just was not working or if that is how it works.

    1. I haven't used it as an exit ticket yet. I tried playing around with it, but could not post question either. I wonder just saying the question to the kids and they respond. Will have to tinker some more.

  2. Nancy, I also love SOCRATIVE because it is a tool that engage learners as a whole group and individual learners can be motivated to see what their peers answered. If you want to design questions as a team, I think you have to create one credential and share it with in a team. If they use the code, they are not anymore a teacher and can not edit it but participate in the question only.

  3. When using Socrative you should go to "Manage Quizzes" and create a quiz to write out questions. On the Quick Question option on the dashboard it is meant to ask a verbal question. On the short answer you can type out the question but don't have to. This is where you have the tab open on student computers and you can ask questions throughout the lesson to involve every student.
Yes you can share quizzes with colleagues and import one of theirs. Here is a quick video showing how: https://youtu.be/XBSEWsIoTsc
